designed by Frank Weise in 1951 is an early steel frame home. The steel
support gives the home the appearance of a floating second floor
resting gently upon the glass corners of the lower floor. Frank Weise,
a student of Walter Gropius at Harvard, designed the most unique,
cutting edge, mid-century modern homes in the Philadelphia area. This
home was built for Frank's brother Bernard, and is considered his
finest. The home has an open floor plan with a surround of glass walls
and delicate support structure further enlarging the feel of the
